The MHFA Wales Instructor training is delivered entirely online. You will be trained in the online/blended version, however, you will also be able to deliver the classroom based course.

There is an application process in order to apply, please complete the form below.

Two weeks prior to your course, you will be enrolled in the online modules, and will have 2 weeks to complete the required pre-learning: The eMHFA Wales modules.

The structure of the training week can be found below:

Day 1 and Day 2: National instructors will take you through the MHFA course – this is an essential part of the training.

Day 3: Development Day – You will sit in on seminars to expand your knowledge as an instructor. These are delivered by professionals working in the field of mental health as well as those with lived experience.

Day 4 Assessment Day: You will deliver a small section of the course whilst being observed by National Instructors. This provides you with the opportunity to experience delivery as well as receive feedback.
